Era una noche fría de diciembre. Tim estaba esperando para cenar con unos clientes.

It was a cold night in December. Tim was waiting to have dinner with some clients.

Poco después, llegaron y todos entraron en el restaurante.

Shortly after, they arrived and everyone went inside the restaurant.

En el restaurante tuvieron una comida fabulosa. Tim nunca había comido un plato tan bueno en su vida.

They had a fabulous meal together in the restaurant. Tim had never had such a good dish in his life.

Finalmente, el camarero vino y le dio a Tim una cuenta de 200 euros.

Finally, the waiter came and gave Tim a bill of 200 euros.

Tim iba a coger su cartera cuando se dio cuenta de que se la había dejado en casa.¡Qué vergüenza!

Tim was going to get his wallet when he realized that he had left it at home! How embarrassing!

Dijo: "Por favor, si me deja ir a casa, volveré en 20 minutos para pagar la cuenta".

He said, "Please, if you let me go home, I will be back in 20 minutes to pay the bill."

Por suerte, el camarero dejó que Tim se fuera a casa y éste pagó la cuenta.

Luckily the waiter let Tim go home and Tim paid the bill.

Si no hubiera sido por el amable camarero, Tim se habría metido en un buen lío.

If it hadn't been for the nice waiter, Tim would have been in big trouble!
