They were the ones who started the first cooperative. There name was derived from where they came from, a small town in England. Who are they?

ROCHDALE PIONEERS

The period that prompted the Rochdale pioneers to establish a cooperative because of poverty, injustice and human exploitation.

A cooperative has a dual nature. This is also known as “a group coming together to help themselves and achieve a common goal.

A cooperative cannot be called a cooperative if this nature/side is missing...

BUSINESS ENTERPRISE

When a person becomes a member of a cooperative, he or she is considered as what? (hint 1) That is why we have dividend (from share cap) and patronage refund from our coop because of this consideration/privilege.

OWNER & USER

A cooperative has 2 main objectives. One objective is when a cooperative gives services to the community such as scholarships, free medical & dental services and etc.

SOCIAL OBJECTIVE

This term as the “the networks of relationships among people who live and work in a particular society, enabling that society to function effectively.”

The first form of a social capital is…

The second form of social capital… also known as camaraderie among members of coop.

MUTUAL TRUST

The third form of social capital… a common trait of Filipinos esp.in the old times (bayanihan)

HELPING ATTITUDE

Last form of social capital… It is when members offer help to one another or to community without asking something in return
