וְהָיָ֗ה אִם־שָׁמֹ֤עַ תִּשְׁמְעוּ֙
And behold if you listen
וְהָיָה מוּסָב עַל הָאָמוּר לְמַעְלָה
Vihaya is going back to what is said on top
אִם שָׁמֹעַ בַּיָּשָׁן תִּשְׁמְעוּ בֶּחָדָשׁ
If you listen to the old, you'll be able to listen to the new
כְּאִלּוּ שְׁמַעְתֶּם בּוֹ בַיּוֹם
As if you heard it that day
אֶלָּא כָּל מַה שֶּׁתַּעֲשֶׂה, עֲשֵׂה מֵאַהֲבָה
but all that you do, do from love
עֲבוֹדָה שֶׁהִיא בַּלֵּב, וְזוֹ הִיא תְפִלָּה
work that in the heart, and that is teffilah
אַף אֲנִי אֶעֱשֶׂה מַה שֶּׁעָלַי
Also I will do my part (whats on me)
בְּלֵילֵי שַׁבָּתוֹת, שֶׁהַכֹּל מְצוּיִין בְּבָתֵּיהֶם
on shabbos nights, that everyone is found in their houses
אַתָּה תַאַסְפֶנּוּ אֶל הַבַּיִת, וְלֹא אוֹיְבֶיךָ
you will gather to your house, and not your enemies
שֶׁלֹּא תִצְטָרֵךְ לְהוֹלִיכָהּ לַמִּדְבָּרוֹת
that you will not need to lead them to deserts
שֶׁתְּהֵא בְרָכָה מְצוּיָה בַּפַּת בְּתוֹךְ הַמֵּעַיִם
That there will be blessing found in the dough inside the stomach
שֶׁהֵם אֲחֵרִים לְעוֹבְדֵיהֶם
That they are "others" to those who serve them
שֶׁאֵין אָדָם מוֹרֵד בְּהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אֶלָּא מִתּוֹךְ שְׂבִיעָה
That there isn't a person who rebels against Hashem but from satisfaction
שֶׁכֵּיוָן שֶׁאָדָם פּוֹרֵשׁ מִן הַתּוֹרָה, הוֹלֵךְ וּמִדַּבֵּק בַּעבודה זָרה
That when a man separates from the Torah, he goes and sticks to avadoah zara (idol worship)
אַגְלֶה אֶתְכֶן מִן הָאֲדָמָה שֶׁגָּרְמָה לָכֶם לַחֲטֹא;
I will exile you from the land that caused you to sin
אַף מַה שֶּׁאַתָּה מוֹבִיל לָהּ,
Even what you bring to it
