Why don't we see aliens in the sky?

If there are aliens in space, depending on where they are it may take many years traveling before we meet!

We may not have seen aliens yet because humans and/or aliens might not be developed enough to contact each other.

It takes great technology and a developed civilisation in order to space travel; and the chances of two species achieving this at the same time is highly unlikely.

Another reason we haven't seen any aliens is that the chances of an encounter with another species is quite small.

Despite the odds, there is still an astronomical number of planets that could host life, so it is still possible that other life exists.
