Can you describe your school? (What does it look like? How many students are there?)
My school is big with three buildings and a large playground. There are about 800 students in total.
What is your favorite subject? (Why do you like it? What do you usually do in that class?)
My favorite subject is English because I like learning new words. In class, we practice speaking and play games.
Who is your favorite teacher? (Why do you like him or her? What subject does he or she teach?)
My favorite teacher is Ms. Lan because she is kind and helpful. She teaches me English.
What do you usually do during break time? (Where do you go? Who do you spend time with?)
During break time I go to the schoolyard and talk with my friends. Sometimes we play football together.
What time does school start and finish? (Do you think it’s too early or late?)
My school starts at 7:30 in the morning and finishes at 4:00 in the afternoon. I think it’s a bit long but still okay.
What do you usually eat at school? (Where do you eat? Do you like the food?)
I usually eat rice with chicken and vegetables in the canteen. Sometimes I like it, but sometimes it’s not very tasty.
What activities do you usually do after school? (Do you stay at school or go home?)
After school I usually go home and do my homework. Sometimes I stay at school to play football with my friends.
What special events does your school have? (When are they? What do students do?)
My school has a sports day every year. Students join different games and cheer for their teams.
What do you usually do in the library at school? (Do you go alone or with friends?)
I usually read storybooks in the library. Sometimes I go alone, but often I go with my classmates.
Can you describe your classroom? (How many desks are there? What things are on the walls?)
My classroom has 20 desks, a big board, and posters with English words on the walls.
Do you enjoy doing homework? (Why or why not? How much time do you spend?)
I don’t enjoy homework very much, but it helps me practice. I usually spend about one hour a day.
What is the most interesting lesson you had recently? (What did you learn? Why was it interesting?)
Last week we learned about animals in science. It was interesting because I love animals and learned many new facts.
Who do you usually sit with in class? (Why do you sit with him or her? What do you do together?)
I usually sit with my best friend Minh. We share books and help each other with exercises.
What games or sports do you play at school? (When do you play them? Who do you play with?)
I play football and badminton during break time. I usually play with my classmates in the yard.
What subject do you find most difficult? (Why is it difficult? How do you try to improve?)
I find math the most difficult because there are many numbers. I try to improve by practicing more at home.
Do you like wearing a school uniform? (Why or why not? What does it look like?)
I don’t really like wearing a school uniform because it feels hot in summer. It’s a white shirt and blue trousers.
