What could I say to a peer to start a conversation with them?
Greet them and then say "How was your weekend?" "How's your day going?"
Why is it important to greet someone before I ask them a question?
It is impoortant to greet someone to be socially polite. No one likes to be questioned immediately
A friend tells you that they just got a new backpack. What could you say?
Give a compliment. "Wow, it looks so cool!"
Why do we give other people compliments?

You are telling your teacher about a new TV show that you are watching. The character that you are talking about is named Neptune. The teacher has a very confused look on her face. Why do you think the teacher is confused? How do you fix it
Neptune is a character, not a planet. Use appropriate tone and be patient.
You said something really mean to a peer. The next time you see that peer, they do not want to talk to you. What should you do?
Give them space. People remember if they are hurt. Think about what you said and learn from it.
