What is the function of tendons in the body?
They connect bones to tissue (e.g. achilles tendon)
Why is diffusion important for cells?
Diffusion is the movement of a substance from an area of higher concentration to lower concentration. It is an important way that things travel in/out of cells.
Name 3 ways we can check for signs of cancer.
e.g. Self-exam, x-ray, biopsy, genetic screening, blood test, pap test
What are stem cells and where are they produced?
Undifferentiated (multipotent/pluripotent) cells that can become a certain type of cell. Many produced in the bone marrow.
