Judy comlained (that) she had already told me that four times that day.
Betty:” I'm so sorry I didn't help you with your problem last week.”
Betty told me (that) she was sorry she hadn't helped me the week before.
Dave: "I was outside the office during my break but I didn't buy anything for lunch. "
Dave said (that) he had been outside the office during his break but (that) he hadn't bought anything for lunch."
Jimmy to father: "I am sure that I saw my wallet here somewhere. "
Jimmy told his father that he was sure he had seen his wallet there somewhere.
Lisa:” Tomorrow at five o’clock I will be sitting on a train to Glasgow.”
Lisa said that the next day at five o’clock he would be sitting on a train to Glasgow.
Mrs. Wilson: “No one has ever spoken to me like this before.”
