The late bell rang. Almost immediately, the principal came on the loudspeaker to do the morning announcements. Chairs scratched across the tile floor as children stood up from the desks to say the Pledge of Allegiance.
School
Everywhere they looked, they saw trees, grass, and dirt. As they stood on the trail, they heard the sounds of bugs, birds, and frogs. The girls had their backpacks and boots on. They were ready to explore.
Forest/Hiking
In the sunshine, Amaya and Melanie applied more lotion to their skin. Amaya’s mom insisted that they both wear hats since the sun was so strong while they played. They heard seagulls squawking while the waves crashed gently on the sand.
The beach
Naomi and her family sat down in a booth near the kitchen. They saw waiters and waitresses walking quickly from table to table to speak to people. They delivered drinks on a tray and wrote notes down on pieces of paper while the people talk

This is round and white. You can make it out of snow. You can throw it or make a snowman out of it.
Snowball
You put these on your feet. You lace them up. They have a blade. You use them on ice.
Ice skates
You only need one of these. You wear it outside in winter. It goes on your head.
Hat
I lay down with my head on a pillow. I am about to go to sleep. Where am I?
Bed
I am eating popcorn and watching a movie on a big screen. Where am I?
Movie Theater
I blow out candles on top of a cake. I get presents from my friends. Where am I?
Birthday Party
I am pushing a cart. I am picking out food to buy. Where am I?
Grocery Store
I see an elephant. I walk more and see a lion and a monkey. Where am I?
The Zoo
I am in a car with my sister. We are driving around looking for a place to park. Where am I?
Parking garage/parking lot
I am in a yellow vehicle. I am on my way to a field trip. Where am I?
School bus
I am brushing my teeth. After I wash my face and my hands. Where am I?

I pick out books to read. I can check the books out to borrow and take home. I need to be quiet. Where am I?
