Poverty
not having enough money for food, shelter, and clothes
Absolute poverty
when a person is unable to enjoy the normal standard of living for the society in which he or she lives. For example, in the USA a person is relatively poor if he or she cannot afford a television.
Relative poverty
people who have jobs but don’t make enough money for basic needs
working poor
countries where many people are poor, sometimes called 'Third World'
Less developed world
countries that are rich, like the USA, Japan, or Europe
More developed world
rights everyone should have, like freedom and fairness
human rights
