  • What are the parts of the respiratory system?
nose, mouth, larynx, trachea, chest, bronchi, lungs (bronchioles, alveolis, capillaries), diaphragm
  •  15
  • Where does the air enter?
Through the nose (nostrils) and mouth
  •  15
  • After entering the nose, where does the air go?
    The air passes into larynx
  •  15
  • Where does the air go after passing larynx and what is it?
Trachea (a long tube that goes down into the chest)
  •  15
  • Where does the air go after entering the trachea and what is it?
    Bronchi (2 smaller tubes)
  •  15
  • Where does the air go after entering the bronchi? What parts have the lungs got?
    The lungs (bronchioles, alveoli, capillaries)
  •  15
  • What are the bronchioli?
Samaller bronchi in which bronchi is divided in the lung, like the branches of a tree
  •  15
  • What are the alveoli?
Air sacs at the end of each bronchiole, where the gas exchange happens
  •  15
  • What is the function of capillaries?
    Carry blood

  • What happen with the diaphragm when we breathe in (inhale) ?
When we breathe in: the diaphragm contracts and moves down, the lung inflate and the ribcage expands.
