What are the four types of Network

PAN, LAN, MAN, WAN

It Is group of computers, peripherals, and software that are connected to each other and can be used together

COMPUTER NETWORK

It is a cable that contains optical fibers (usually glass) coated in plastic that are used to send data by pulses of light.

FIBER OPTICS CABLE

It is a cable used in the transmission of video, communications, and audio. However, these cables are also used in networks and what allow a broadband cable Internet connection using a cable modem.

coaxial cable

It is a cable combines the techniques of shielding, cancellation, and wire twisting. Each pair of wires is wrapped in a metallic foil.

STP/ SHIELDED TWISTED PAIR

It enable computers to communicate and they can pass information between two networks— such as between your home network and the Internet. It is a networking device which directs data traffic.

ROUTER

This enables computers and devices to connect to a wired network wirelessly. It is also called "base stations"

WIRELESS ACCESS POINT

work the same way as hubs, but they can identify the intended destination of the information that they receive, so they send that information to only the computers that are supposed to receive it.

SWITCH

It enable computers on a network to communicate. It can't identify the source or intended destination of the information it receives, so it sends the information to all of the computers connected to it, including the one that sent it.

HUB

It is a type of network with two or more computers connected to each other in a single location, such as single building, room and an office that are spread across a small geographical area.
