She is telling you to move to the check out and start scanning your things.
Someone is looking at something you need to buy too and their cart is right in front of what you need. You say: "Excuse me, I just need to grab that."
You are asking them to move their cart so that you can reach the item you need.
Mom says to husband: "We probably need some band-aids."
They are out of band-aids and she is telling her husband to go find some band-aids. (If you didn't get this one, it's okay, there might be someone hurt at home)
