    Make eye contact.

    Keep it closed and avoid interrupting.

    Listen carefully and try to understand.

    Face them and lean slightly forward.

    Say something like "It was nice talking to you. See you next time", “Thank you for sharing” or “I appreciate your point of view”

    Ask a question or ask them to repeat or explain.
