Literature

Prose
Refers to writings in verse, with rhythm and rhyme and characterized by melodious tone
Poertry
It portrays imaginary people caught in imaginary situations.
Fiction
Gives actual facts and information.
Non Fiction
A short poem intended to be sung and is about love, despair, grief, doubt, joy, hope, and sorrow.
FOLKSONG
This a song praising God or the Virgin Mary.
Psalm
It is poetry of festivity or revelry. It is intended to amuse the readers of listeners.
Comedy
TRAGEDY- It shows the hero constantly struggling against dynamic forces.
TRADEGY
It is a poetry that tells a story.
Narrative Poetry
These are a for prose which deal with the origin of a thing, location or name.
Myth
a poem of free verse that the Japanese like. It was made up of 17 syllables divided into three lines.
Haiku
like the Haiku, is short but it had measure and rhyme. Each line had 17 syllables and it’s also allegorical in meaning.
Tanaga
These can be considered as the oldest forms of Philippine literature that mirror the culture which expresses hopes, aspirations, lifestyles, and emotions of early Filipinos.
