It was a rainy spring morning in River Valley, and Raven rose to the sound of raindrops hitting the roof. She threw off the covers, rolled out of bed, and looked out the window. The sky was gray, and the rain was really coming down
Raven smiled. She thought rainy days were great for playing outside! Raven went to her closet to get dressed. She put on a blue raincoat and bright red rainboots. Raven grabbed an umbrella and walked downstairs.
She saw her brother and tried to get him to go outside with her, but he said he would rather stay dry inside. Raven ate breakfast and was all ready
Raven felt a rush of joy as she ran outside. She moved at a fast trot along the road and jumped in the biggest puddles she could find. Raven liked seeing how high the splash would rise!
She leapt from puddle to puddle and raced in the mud. Raven built a bridge with rocks and sticks and used chalk to make rain art. Playing in the rain gave Raven a thrill!
The rain slowed to a drizzle, and Raven crossed the road to go home. She was sitting on the front porch, listening to the drip-drop of rain, when the sun shone and Raven saw a rainbow! She looked up at the radiant colors and grinned.
