Max was playing outside with his friends. He stepped in a pile of leaves and a red ant bit his ankle. His foot starts to swell and hurt a lot.

Marna is making chocolate chip cookies. She was mixing the batter, then realized that there are no chocolate chips in the cupboard.

Gary woke up 30 minutes later than his alarm on a Monday. He rushed to get ready. He put on his clothes and grabbed a granola bar for breakfast. As he ran out the door, he saw his bus drive away.

There is a big science test tomorrow. Alex has been studying every night. He made flash cards with his dad to help him remember all the information. When Alex got to school, his best friend asked him to help him cheat.

This weekend, Leo is taking care of his neighbor's dog, Romeo. He filled up his food and water bowls. When he opened the door, the dog ran out of the house and down the street.
