Billy spilled his juice at lunch and Betty told everyone about it loudly in her small group after. Billy put his head down and refused to talk the rest of the period.

Miranda is convinced that Jack is going to be her boyfriend. She tells everyone that they're dating, even though they only hang out because they live on the same street. He starts avoiding Miranda in the halls, even when she calls his name.

Science class is using putty in a lesson. Jerry got a laugh from the class by sticking his pencil to the desk with putty. Evan thinks he would get an even bigger laugh if he started eating the putty.

Shane and Derek are friends and tease each other a lot. It's all in good fun, but lately Shane keeps bringing up the same joke and Derek is starting to roll his eyes, sigh, and ignore Shane in response.

Reese and his friends are at lunch and Reese makes a joke about the cafeteria food. Everybody laughs.

Joe forgot which class was next and his friend Pete joked, "next you'll forget what school you go to." They both laugh and head to class.

Brian hears his buddies making jokes at the desk behind him during independent work. He thinks of something funny to say, but knows the teacher won't approve if he starts a conversation in class, so he saves it for later.

Rodney is bored in math, so he starts copying everything the teacher says under his breath. Kids nearby start to snicker.
