I search through the garbage, for treasures to find, With clever little paws, I’m curious and kind. In forests and towns, I make my home space, A playful bandit with a quick, furry grace.

I’m covered in scales and swim with great speed, In rivers and lakes, I’m often the breed. With gills to breathe and a tail that’s quite strong, Catch me with a hook; I often go wrong.

I glide through the air with my long, narrow wings, I’m often associated with springtime and sings. With a delicate body and colors that gleam, In gardens I flutter, like a beautiful dream.

I’m big and gray, with a trunk so long, I roam the savannah, where I seem to belong. With tusks made of ivory, I trumpet with pride. In family herds, I always reside.

I live in the ocean, so vast and deep, With my long, flowing body, I gracefully sweep. My colors aren’t bright, and I swim with such grace, In coral reefs, you’ll find my home base.

I hop in the grass, my ears are so tall, With powerful legs, I can jump over all. In fields I will munch on clover and hay, At dawn and at dusk, I love to play.

With eight long legs, I spin webs so fine, In corners and crevices, I make my design. Though I’m often feared, I help keep things neat, I catch little bugs in my silky sweet treat.

In oceans so deep, I rule with my might, With sharp, pointy teeth and a powerful bite. I glide through the water, sleek and so fast, A hunter by nature, my meals seldom last.

I’m furry and small, with a long, twitching nose, I collect shiny things and keep them, I suppose. In my burrow I hide, with a stash of my treats, With quick little feet, I scurry and eat.

I have a shell, but I’m not a snail, I can live on land or in a watery trail. With my slow pace, I take my time, In gardens and ponds, you’ll see me climb.

My nose is quite large, but it helps me survive, In the jungle I roam, where I thrive and dive. I love to eat fruit, especially bananas, With a gentle sway, I’m so full of manners.

I’m a powerful hunter, on seals I do feast, In a world full of cold, I’m a giant, at least. With a great sense of smell, I can track from afar, A symbol of the frozen, I’m a true northern star.

I stand tall on one leg, in wetlands I dwell, With feathers so white, I’m easy to tell. I deliver babies, or so the tales say, In nests high above, I rest at the end of the day.
