Advocating for yourself
The teacher is talking too fast. What can you tell your teacher?
(Raise your hand). Can you please louder? I can't hear you.
You are feeling hungry, but your mom is on the phone.
(wait, get her attention by waving at her) whisper, "mom, I'm hungry".
Somebody keeps teasing you in class by saying your first and last name in a sing song voice. You don't like it.
"Can you please stop it?" If you don't stop saying my name, I will tell the teacher.
