Right! Linking verbs (like smell, look, feel, sound, taste, seem, become, etc.) are followed by adjectives, not adverbs.
One of my hobbies are photography.
Wrong. One of my hobbies IS photography.
She is born in France
Wrong. She WAS born in France.
