How do you know if someone is interested in a conversation?

They are actively engaged in the conversation, responding and adding to it.

They may have their arms crossed or be looking away from the person speaking, only agreeing to what is said- not adding to the conversation.

If a person is responding "yea" over & over again while you are talking, are they interested?
