What happens in the alveoli?
There is an exchange of gases. The oxygen passes into the blood and the carbon dioxide passes into the alveoli.
What happens during exhalation?
The lungs become smaller. Air leaves the body.
What happens during inhalation?
The lungs open up and become bigger. Air enters the body.
