My dog Max learns new tricks really quickly. When I say “Hands”, he gives me his paw. He even walks on two legs when I tell him to. It only took me three days to teach him these tricks. I don’t think other dogs can learn as quickly as Max.

Throughout its lifetime, a butterfly goes through Metamorphosis. A butterfly begins life as an egg, and then hatches into a caterpillar. Then, the caterpillar creates a chrysalis. An adult butterfly then emerges from the chrysalis!

Cabs are better than trains. Unlike trains, cabs are available all day. A cab can pick you up at your house, but to use a train you have to drive to the train station. Cabs guarantee you a seat, but on a train you might have to stand.

Mrs. Jones is writing the homework on the Smart Board. The students in her class are watching her write. They are taking out their planners and pencils. Once Mrs. Jones is finished, they will copy their homework down.

Camping is not fun. There are no beds, and you have to sleep in a sleeping bag. At night, there are all sorts of bugs and animals making noises. They may even crawl in your tent. It is boring because you can't watch TV or play video games.

Laura babysat her nephews last weekend. The kids threw a ball in the house and broke a vase. They ran up and down the stairs and made lots of noise. They colored on the wall with crayons. Laura was exhausted when the weekend was over.

Andy went to the barber shop. He sat in the chair. The barber cut his hair. Once the barber was finished, Andy paid for his haircut.

Salmon are unique fish. Most fish can survive in either freshwater or saltwater, but Salmon can survive in both! They are born in freshwater, but spend their adult lives in saltwater. When they move, their bodies adapt to the salt.

David and Robert went to a baseball game. They went to watch their favorite team play. They sat behind third base. They bought hot dogs and ate them while they watched the game.

Even though deserts don't get much rain, many animals and plants that live there. Kangaroo Rats can survive without water because they get moisture from the seeds they eat. Cacti have a waxy coating that keeps water from evaporating.
