  • You have been waiting all day for lunch to come because you are starving. Finally class ends and you get to go to lunch. Except when you go to get to your lunch, it's not there. You probably left it at home. What could you do?
    Go to the canteen and get some lunch. Ask your friends if there is anything they could share with you.

  • You wake up and see that your alarm never went off. So you are starting your morning later than you planned. It is a really important day at VSS and you can't be late!   
    Call teacher Jaine or the bus driver to tell them you are late but still want to come.

  • There is someone in your class who is always mean to you. He purposely bumps into you in the hall, throws things at you in class and called you names. What should you do?
    Tell him how you feel and ask him to stop. Speak with a teacher if the issue continues after this.

  • You are taking a test and there is no talking allowed. You are writing your answers on the paper and your pencil breaks. What could you do?
    Raise your hand and tell the teacher your pencil broke. They will either give you a new one, or direct you to a sharpener.

    Tell him that you cannot talk to him during a test.

    Ask a classmate or teacher if you are on the right track before continuing.

    Wait and raise your hand again in a bit. Go up to her desk and ask your question.

    Tell them that you would love to get together and to let you know when they're free. If you are concerned, you can also ask if they are okay.

    Ask your friend to hold on so you can hear the directions.

    Call teacher Debbie, Jaine, Jo or the Health team to ask for help.

     Call your doctor if the pain persists. Rest, drink lots of water.

    Call someone and ask them to pick you up. If it is very bad and you can't walk - call 911.

  • You are going to the supermarket with your family and you realise at the door that you've forgotten your mask. What do you do?
    You can wait in the car while they do the shop. You can see if there are any masks  in the car. Or ask at the store if they have masks.

  • You have signed up to perform at the annual talent show at VSS.  You will be singing a solo. However now you are feeling really nervous and don't want to do it anymore. What do you do?
    Speak with the organisers about how you are feeling. Keep practising to boost your confidence.

  • You wake up with a throbbing pain in you mouth, and one of your teeth really hurts when you are chewing. What do you do?
     Call your dentist. Avoid crunchy foods. Take something for the pain.

    Add it to the shopping list. Go to the shops. Drink it black.
