Advice is the noun. To advise is the verb.

If you are lucky you have good luck or are fortunate (e.g. you win the lottery). If you are happy, you are not sad.

A cushion is quite colourful and normally found on armchairs, sofas, etc. A pillow is normally found on a bed.

Quite means 'rather'. Quiet means `not noisy'.

To take an exam means to physically do the exam. At this stage you don't know if you have passed or failed. To pass an exam means that you are successful.
